  • Do not rely only on videos, screenshots, receipts, or promises provided online.

Verify Ownership and Documents

For vehicles, property, and high-value items:

  • Verify the seller’s identity.
  • Check original ownership and registration documents.
  • Confirm serial numbers, chassis numbers, property records, or other relevant details.
  • Use the appropriate government authority or qualified professional for verification.
  • Do not purchase an item if ownership appears unclear or disputed.

Avoid Advance-Payment Scams

  • Avoid sending advance payments to unknown or unverified persons.
  • Be cautious if someone pressures you to pay immediately.
  • Do not send money merely to reserve an item unless you fully trust and have verified the other party.
  • Confirm that payment has reached your own account; do not rely on payment screenshots or messages.

Protect Your Account and Financial Information

Never share:

  • Your password
  • One-time passwords or verification codes
  • ATM or card PIN
  • Card security code
  • Online banking password
  • Email verification links
  • Recovery codes

ZIXO support will never ask for your password, PIN, or one-time verification code.

Watch for Suspicious Links

  • Do not open unknown payment or courier links sent through messages.
  • Check the website address before entering login or payment information.
  • Be cautious of users claiming that payment can only be received through an unfamiliar link.
  • Do not install unknown applications or files sent by another user.

Be Careful with Unrealistic Offers

Treat an offer as suspicious when:

  • The price is unusually low.
  • The buyer offers more than the asking price without a valid reason.
  • The other party refuses inspection or verification.
  • The seller claims to be abroad and demands advance payment.
  • The buyer sends a fake courier, bank, or payment confirmation.
  • You are pressured to complete the transaction immediately.

Property and Rental Safety

  • Visit the property personally.
  • Verify the owner or authorised agent.
  • Review ownership, rental, and identity documents.
  • Do not pay deposits before verifying the property and agreement.
  • Use a written agreement and keep payment records.

Vehicle Safety

  • Inspect the vehicle with a trusted mechanic.
  • Verify registration and ownership records.
  • Check the chassis and engine numbers.
  • Confirm that the vehicle is not stolen, under dispute, or subject to unpaid obligations.
  • Complete the transfer through the appropriate authority.
