ZIXO Classified (“ZIXO”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) is an online classified advertising platform operated by Mr S K A, trading as ZIXO Classified.

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, disclose, and protect information when you visit zixo.pk, create an account, publish a listing, communicate with another user, purchase a paid promotion, or otherwise use our services.

By using ZIXO, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Account Information

When you register or use an account, we may collect:

  • Username and encrypted password
  • Account preferences

2.2 Listing Information

When you post an advertisement, we may collect and display:

Information included in a public listing may be visible to anyone visiting ZIXO. You should not publish information that you do not want to make public.

2.3 Messages and Communications

When users communicate through ZIXO, we may process:

  • Buyer and seller messages
  • Listing-related enquiries
  • Message dates and times
  • Unread-message and notification information
  • Reports, complaints, and support correspondence

Private messages are intended for the participating users. However, ZIXO may review or preserve messages where reasonably necessary to investigate fraud, abuse, safety concerns, policy violations, technical problems, or legal requests.

2.4 Location and City Preferences

ZIXO may collect or save:

  • The city selected by you
  • Your chosen “nearby listings” preference
  • Approximate location based on information you provide
  • Location information included in a listing

Your selected city may be stored in a cookie or local storage on your device so that listings from your chosen city can appear first.

ZIXO does not require precise GPS tracking unless a separate location feature clearly asks for your permission.

2.5 Purchase and Payment Information

When you purchase a Featured, Top Ad, Urgent, Bump Up, or another paid service, we may collect:

  • Customer name and email
  • Billing address and phone number
  • Product or promotion purchased
  • Listing connected to the order
  • Order number, amount, currency, and status
  • Payment method and transaction reference
  • Payment confirmation information

Payments may be processed through third-party banks or payment gateways. Where a third-party gateway is used, payment-card details may be submitted directly to that provider. ZIXO does not intentionally collect or store full card numbers or card security codes unless clearly disclosed and lawfully implemented.

2.6 Technical Information

We may automatically collect:

  • IP address
  • Browser and device type
  • Operating system
  • Referring page
  • Pages visited
  • Login and activity timestamps
  • Cookie identifiers

3. How We Use Information

  11. Maintain, troubleshoot, and improve ZIXO.

4. Public Information

Listings are public advertisements. The following information may be visible publicly where provided by the seller:

  • Seller display name
  • Listing photographs
  • Description and price
  • City or area
  • Phone or contact option
  • Account or seller information
  • Listing date and promotion badges

Search engines may index public pages. Removing a listing from ZIXO may not immediately remove copies already stored by search engines, social media platforms, or third parties.

5. Cookies and Local Storage

ZIXO may use cookies and similar technologies to:

  • Keep users signed in
  • Maintain carts and checkout sessions
  • Save the selected city
  • Remember dismissed notices or pop-ups
  • Protect accounts and forms
  • Measure website usage
  • Improve performance and user experience

You may block or delete cookies through your browser. Some account, checkout, city-selection, or messaging features may not work correctly without necessary cookies.

6. How We Share Information

We do not sell personal information to advertisers.

We may share limited information with:

6.1 Service Providers

Hosting companies, email providers, security services, analytics services, payment providers, technical contractors, and other suppliers that help operate ZIXO.

6.2 Other Users

Information included in listings or voluntarily shared during buyer-seller communication may be available to other users.

6.3 Payment Providers

Order and billing information may be shared with the selected payment provider to process or verify a payment.

6.4 Legal and Safety Authorities

Information may be disclosed where reasonably necessary to:

  • Comply with applicable law or a lawful order
  • Investigate suspected fraud or criminal activity
  • Protect users, ZIXO, or the public
  • Enforce agreements and platform rules

6.5 Business Transfers

If ZIXO is sold, reorganised, merged, or transferred, relevant information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to applicable obligations.

We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to:

  • Complete and document transactions

Deleted listings, messages, or accounts may remain in backups, security logs, order records, or legal records for a limited or legally necessary period.

However, no website, internet transmission, or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure. Users are responsible for protecting their passwords, devices, email accounts, and verification codes.

Never share your password, one-time password, card security code, or confidential banking details with another ZIXO user.

9. Your Choices and Rights

You may:

  • Review and update account information
  • Edit or delete your listings
  • Change your selected city
  • Manage browser cookies
  • Request correction of inaccurate personal information
  • Request account deletion
  • Contact us regarding privacy concerns

Some transaction, security, fraud-prevention, or legal records may need to be retained even after an account-deletion request.

Requests may be sent to support@zixo.pk. We may need to verify that the requester is the account owner.

10. Third-Party Websites and Services

Listings or messages may contain links to websites or services not controlled by ZIXO. We are not responsible for the privacy, security, content, or practices of third-party services.

Users should review the policies of any external website or payment provider before submitting information.

11. Children and Minimum Age

ZIXO is intended only for persons who are 18 years of age or older.

We do not knowingly permit children under 18 to independently create accounts, publish listings, purchase promotions, or enter transactions through ZIXO.

12. International Service Providers

Some hosting, email, security, analytics, or payment service providers may process information outside Pakistan. Where this occurs, we will use service providers reasonably appropriate for the operation of the platform.

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in our services, technology, business practices, or legal obligations.

The updated version will be posted on ZIXO with a revised “Last Updated” date. Continued use after an update constitutes acknowledgement of the revised policy.
